Our Key Services

ABA Therapy Services
We provide Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy services to pediatric clients from the ages of 2.5 years old to approximately 19 years of age. This includes intensive aba therapy (30-40 hours per week), part time aba therapy (10-20 hours per week), or after school therapy (approximately 10-15 hours per week). Hours per week are recommended based on assessment conducted per Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) using VB-Mapp Milestones Assessment, VB-Mapp Barriers Assessment the EESA Subtest, and other insurance approved assessments as needed.
Parent/Guardian Training
Parent training sessions are provided for families of our clients.


Behavior Intervention Plans
Behavior intervention plans are developed for clients who have challenging behaviors, a behavior intervention plan (BIP) can make all the difference. They are created using evidenced-based ABA techniques targeting the specific behavior for decrease and replacing it with a more desirable behavior.
Toilet Training (and other independent skills)
Madison's Journey also provides toilet training programs as well as other programs for skills that promote independence, such as handwashing and toothbrushing.


After School Program
Now offering an after school ABA program from 3pm-5pm Monday-Friday for children with a qualifying diagnosis who attend school during the day. Call our office to learn more!

About the owner
Chrystal Atkinson is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who is licensed in the state of Alabama to practice ABA. She obtained a Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University (2018) with an emphasis in Autism Spectrum Disorder. In 2015, Chrystal graduated Suma Cum Laude from Ashford University with dual Bachelor's Degrees in Educational Studies and Psychology. Her career in ABA started in 2015 as a Registered Line Therapist in Louisiana.
